SATURDAY, APRIL 13th
Charter Development 101 Class at Valdosta State
10:00 am – 1:30 pm
Location: Valdosta State University Student Union, Meeting Room 2 (3rd floor)
Details: $75 fee. Requires pre-registration http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/6C75H38
Target Audience: Groups or individuals who are already contemplating writing a charter school petition, who want to gain more information about the process, begin to establish a timeline, and fully understand the rigors of the process. Taught by GCSA Director of Education & Training, Elisa Falco.

GA Chamber “Power Lunch” in Valdosta

Details: GCSA is a sponsor of this event, which is complimentary. You must register to attend. Registration is available starting 4 weeks prior to the lunch at powerlunch@gachamber.com 
Target Audience: Business leaders and community members who are interested in workforce development and public education reform.
TUESDAY, MAY 7th
Community Meeting: “What is a Public Charter School?”
6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Location: TBA 
Details: A free, informational community meeting, open to all.
Target Audience:  Parents, citizens, teachers, educators, anyone who wants to know what a charter school is, how charters are funded, how they are created, and how local communities can most effectively work to expand high achieving, innovative public school options. Presentation by GCSA staff, followed by Q&A.
