Gifted Cohort-January, April, or September 2012
WHO: Current or Future Charter School Educators who serve Gifted Students
WHAT: Complete, PSC-approved Gifted endorsement program offered through a partnership with GCSA, CaseNEX, and North Georgia College and State University. This endorsement program is comprised of three, 50-hour courses. Please note that courses are comparable to graduate level courses in terms of rigor. Participants will need to make payment for each course to the GCSA preceding each start date in the course calendar. A participant must successfully complete all three courses and the field requirement associated with this program in order to be recommended for endorsement to the PSC by North Georgia College and State University.

Curriculum and Program Development for the Gifted Module (5 PLUs), TBD
WHERE: Online as a sequential professional learning experience using a cohort model
WHY: To build skills and competencies and strengthen your effectiveness in providing differentiated learning to a diverse population of students to improve student achievement.
HOW: Register by Jan. 5th, March 30th, and August 30th for the 2012 specified cohorts at the following link:

COST: The cost per module is $500.00 (=$1500.00 for 3 modules for the complete endorsement). If 10+ participants enroll from your school, the cost will be reduced to $400.00. The final cost will be determined and confirmed with you before charging you credit card. *You will be asked to input your credit card information, please indicate the amount authorized to charge at $500.00 to cover the cost of each installment totaling a maximum of $1500.00 if a discount is not applicable. Partial payment is due prior to the start of program ($750.00) and the second installment is due one month from the start date of the program.
*Refund Policy: There will be no refund of course fees after modules have been started. Refunds will only be given if GCSA is notified two weeks in advance prior to the next module start date and while the person is in the previous module (cancelling module 1 requires a two week notice). Stand-alone courses require a two week notification of cancellation in writing to GCSA and no refunds will be given once the course begins.

WHAT: Complete a Special Education course (equivalent to the Exceptional Child course) offered through a
partnership with GCSA, CaseNEX, and SW RESA
WHEN: 50 Hour Course for GCSA Charter School Teachers (5 PLUs), TBD
WHERE: Online as a sequential professional learning experience using a cohort model
WHY: To build skills and competencies and strengthen your effectiveness in providing differentiated learning to a diverse population of students to improve student achievement.
